Marseille’s Colbert metro station is located on line 1 of the Marseille metro network, also known as the Régie des Transports de Marseille (RTM) metro.

Colbert station is located in the Belsunce district of Marseille’s 2nd arrondissement. It is close to rue Colbert, from which it takes its name.

Colbert station is underground and has two side platforms, allowing passengers to board and disembark in either direction. Like all Marseille metro stations, it is equipped with stairs, escalators and elevators to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.

The station is decorated mainly in blue, with blue and white panels and a long green band on the rail-side walls. The two entrances on either side of the street feature illustrations of Jean-Baptiste Colbert and the adjacent buildings.

Inauguration of the station

Marseille’s Colbert metro station was inaugurated on May 11, 1977. It was one of the first stations opened when Marseille metro line 1 was inaugurated, linking La Rose to La Fourragère.
